Kamikochi, Japan 🇯🇵 — A Beautiful Mountain Escape in the Japanese Alps

Welcome to Kamikochi, one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Japan. 🌿

Surrounded by the Japanese Alps, Kamikochi is filled with clear rivers, beautiful mountains, and peaceful walking trails.

If you love nature and want to see a quieter side of Japan, this is a place I definitely recommend. 🇯🇵

In this post, I’ll share some of my favorite things about Kamikochi and a few tips for visiting. 🌸

What Makes Kamikochi So Special? 🌿

One of my favorite things about Kamikochi is the incredible scenery. The clear blue water of the Azusa River, surrounded by mountains and forests, feels completely different from Japan’s busy cities.

Kappa Bridge is one of the most famous spots in Kamikochi. It’s a great place to enjoy the view, take photos, and simply slow down for a while.

Best Time to Visit Kamikochi 🍃

Kamikochi is beautiful throughout the season, but the scenery changes a lot depending on when you visit.

Spring and early summer are fresh and green, while autumn is especially beautiful when the mountains are covered in colorful leaves. 🍁

Personally, I think a sunny day with clear skies is perfect for enjoying the mountains and the beautiful color of the Azusa River.

Things to Know Before You Go 🎒

One important thing to know is that private cars are not allowed into Kamikochi. You’ll need to take a bus or taxi for the final part of your journey.

I also recommend wearing comfortable shoes, especially if you want to explore the walking trails. The weather in the mountains can change quickly, so bringing an extra layer or a light jacket is a good idea.

And of course, don’t forget your camera! 📷 There are beautiful views almost everywhere you look.

Haru’s Note 🌸

Kamikochi is one of those places that makes me want to slow down and simply enjoy the scenery.

Even though I live in Japan, places like this still remind me how beautiful this country can be. 🇯🇵

If you love mountains, clear rivers, and peaceful places, I hope you’ll add Kamikochi to your Japan travel list someday. 🌿

I’ll keep sharing more of my favorite places, food, and little moments from Japan here on Japan With Haru. See you in the next story! 🌸
